Review: Kitchen Brigade
One of the most recent Time management releases to date is Kitchen Brigade. A fun and entertaining spin on the basic restaurant games out there, Kitchen Brigade delivers plenty of variety. You start out as a new and upcoming chef left with nothing to start your own restaurant due to the fact you had to spend it on tuition and securing the land for your restaurant. You soon open your restaurant and are invited to participate on a game show titled "Kitchen Brigade". On this version of Top Chef you will compete against other chefs to gain new dishes for you restaurant. The winner will be given a restaurant to run and continue on in the competition.
Overall goal is to complete six restaurants within 60 days. The game provides many different levels of game play complete with very informative tutorials to guide you along your way. You will not only run your restaurant but become part of the inside action needed in the kitchen. If your helpers are busy you are able to jump in and set up your own station to assist in getting the orders ready. This is where you will have a chance to play Cooking Mama type mini games, where you will improve you cutting, grilling, and or frying skills to better assist in the kitchen. The more you play these games the more difficult they will become adding to the excitement and challenge of the game.Every helper you employee has a task in the kitchen and even you have a task that inly you can provide in the kitchen, which is grilling so you must use your time wisely in the kitchen to keep everyone happy and stress free.
The game also provides power ups when the levels become a bit more strenuous. For example you will receive help from the Food-o-matic, which like in another version of a time management game will fill a patrons order instantly to aid in the completion of your customers needs. This game is fresh and creative and does have the potential to stand out amongst other time management games. The characters are fun and the graphics are simple and provide a nice setting to the game. The game provides great sound effects to accompany all the multiple cooking task you and your employees will take on as well.
Overall I definitely think this is one Time Management game you must try, and don't worry about being bored playing another cooking kitchen game it will far exceed those when you begin playing.

Review: Magic Ball 4
Magic Ball 4, the latest ball breaking game to hit the shelves packs entertaining action and addicting game play. You must save the world from the aliens who have traveled to our dimension and kidnapped thousands of humans. The only way to save them from their captor's plan of demise is touching them with the Magic Ball of Relativity. With a good aim you can save the victims, returning them to their home here on earth and ultimately saving the day from outer space destruction. The gaming style mirrors that of the popular game "Breakout" in which the player will battle aliens by breaking up various pictures and scenes located at the top of the screen,
as opposed to bricks like the previous ball breaking games, by bouncing a ball off a paddle the player will control at the bottom of the screen. As in most of these games there are various power ups available for acquirement. Some of them help to break through the levels faster by removing various pieces for you or adding an extra life. But as we all know there can not be rewards without a few set backs. There is also power ups that will fall causing you problems as well.
Such as loosing a life or one to decrease the size of your paddle causing it to become more difficult to play. So pay attention to all falling objects, some are helpful and some are not.
Even though the fourth version is quite similar to the third version, Magic Ball 4 is a very fun game that people of all ages can play and enjoy. The graphics are awesome, and the concept of ball breaking games, though redone hundreds of times, never gets old and always proves to be engaging to even the pickiest gamer out there. I do recommend you try the demo before you buy in case the repetitiveness of a ball breaker game does get old to you, but I think you will enjoy it so give it a try.

Review: Princess Isabella A Witch's Curse
Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse is a new hidden object game that has a lot going on. You play Isabella and you are set to marry the love of your life Prince Adam. One day while your out riding an evil witch enters the castle and casting a spell on the entire castle and everyone in it. The witch has trapped everyone you love in mirrors and it is up to you and the help of your fairy sidekick to solve the puzzles and set them free. This game has a lot going on in it. In order to beat the witch and remove the curse you must solve each puzzle and remove the individual curse of every level.
Your fairy friend will provide you with clues and eventually she will gain additional power-ups as you progress through the game to aid in the witch's defeat. This game supplies a multitude of puzzles and mini-games through out the game providing it with enough variety to keep you from becoming bored. You might have to restore a painting, solve a jigsaw type puzzle to piece together a shattered mirror, or collect ingredients to create a potion of some kind. Some of the puzzles can be frustrating and difficult but your fairy friend will come in handy for these and after you have completed and solved every mystery a room has to offer you will receive a "room clear" notification on your map and you can move on to the next room, so your never left guessing about collecting all your clues.
I thought the game was very well done. I like the characters and thought the graphics were very nice. This game is trying to set itself apart from the basic hidden object games out there by providing multiple puzzle games in combination with the hidden object levels. The creators also provide a very easy to use help and hint system that does not make take away from the challenge of the level but enhances your ability to complete it. All in all the game was entertaining and very creative and it will provide you with ample amounts of play all leading up to an exciting finale. I look forward to playing it again soon.

Review: Chicken Chase
Chicken Chase is a simple yet fun way to kill time. It is an arcade style game with a story. You have to help your grandparents save their chicken farm. Solve missions, raise chickens, hatch their eggs to increase population all while trying to keep the ravens from stealing your chickens. Throughout all this you have to raise money to rebuild up the farm back up to it's former glory all before it ends up being foreclosed on. You start out the game with a couple chickens hiding around your barn yard looking for food. You will start out with a little food to get you going then you are responsible for budgeting your profits to buy more. You basically will feed the chickens the food and they will grow.
Once the chicken reaches a certain growth your chicken will lay an egg. You can either cash out and sell the eggs for a profit or you can choose to hatch the egg to increase your chicken population. You will also be able to earn money for power ups and supplies by collecting coins the chickens will drop behind them as they feed.
There are 5 different color eggs which will hatch into five different types of chicken, for example a black egg will hatch into a rooster. if you choose to cash out your eggs know that every egg type of egg has a different value, so for instance basic white eggs are common so they will bring in less than a more rarer egg such as a rooster egg. You might want to keep a few roosters around for protection though, because there are ravens that will swoop down from the sky at lighting speed and snatch up your chickens. You have to click on them to shoo them away, or a rooster will chase them out if near by.
Chicken Chase is a simple and fun way to pass time. I enjoyed the cute graphics and the style of the game. I found the game play rather easy to understand and yet very challenging and face-paced the higher up in levels you go. I recommend buying this game if you are a casual gamer and if your not you should definitely give it a try because it is just plain fun.

Review: Unwell Mel
Unwell Mel is a new and entertaining match 3 game. You get to identify and diagnose ailments in poor old Mel's body and then eliminate them and hopefully cure ole Mel. This is a exciting new take on the match 3 genre. The objective as in many match 3 games is to match three objects and eliminate them from the board. In Unwell Mel these objects might be various items such as medical equipment, food, or nasty bugs. You match 3 items and destroy them gaining money and power ups. The game has two modes as customary for most games. you can play timed or relaxed, which is at your own pace.
The game as a whole contains about 300
different boards of play, which provide hours of fun without the
repetitiveness as some games provide. As I said previously you will be matching various items such as food, or equipment, but you will also be asked to match germs as well. There are four types of germs and they will either help you by destroying items directly around the match, or hinder your progress by taking a while to disappear of the board. You must match 3 items on the board to proceed but as we know if you match more than the required amount of three such as four or more you will earn extra money and bonus. In this game you are not allowed to skip puzzles, you must complete each appointment (level) to move on.
If you get stuck an arrow will appear and
direct you to an available move. I suggest acquiring as many coins as
possible and buying power -ups that will aid in the removal of the
items.Overall I enjoyed playing this game a lot. The graphics are extremely well done and very detailed. The music was not annoying or distracting. I think the creators put in enough additions such as power- ups and the concept of diagnosing and destroying germs to make Unwell Mel stand alone in the match 3 genre of games.
I would definitely recommend this game for purchase for the endless hours of play it will provide and it is just plain fun.
